I actually had the pleasure of seeing Dysrhythmia live a couple years ago at a
NEAR Fest pre-show, they were SMOKIN!!!! All instrumental, complex hybrid of
metal, prog, improv and just sheer lunacy.

the Drunken Unicorn on Thurs, 12/9. The latest Isis album, Panopticon,
is one of the best prog albums (or prog/metal, or metallic prog, or
whatever) of the year, I think. I have heard Dysrhythmia's most recent
album, and they are a pretty interesting math-rock sort of affair who
could be very good live. Don't know much about the other band. Anyway,
it's well worth looking into.
(Also: this has been a heck of a weekend for me musically: California
Guitar Trio on Friday, and McCoy Tyner on Saturday. Wow!)
