Looks like ITunes just got bigger and better! :-)
Has anyone here explored "Weedshare" as a distribution method for their music?
It is a small distributor but they landed Heart's new album so that is not
exactly *tiny* anymore is it?
It is cool b/c it actually *encourages* regular users to legally share copies
that can be played up to 5 time free. To listen the 6th time, the user pays $1
per song.
Of the $1, a cut goes to the artist, and a smaller cut goes to the person that
*shared* the "5-play" song with the end purchaser! So if you sell weedshare
songs from your website, you get *both* cuts. The *artist* and the
*distributor* percentage of the sale.
