Sean, you posted from a different email address! Oh well, that's what
moderators are for:
Begin forwarded message (from Sean Tonar of Noisedotcom):
I have to chastise all of you for not beeing at the Victor Wooten

and show at the Variety Playhouse last night.- Wheat
Your a good guy Wheat so I will go easy on ya.... This one made me
laugh and my first thought was, "where were you when we needed you at
Roguefest"? Where were 90% of the people on this list for that
matter!!!!? If anything is chastize worthy this year regarding not
going to shows it's THAT! All else pales in comparison. This list
was created to unify this art rock community. Roguefest was a yearly
event to showcase some of the best this local scene has to offer.
Plus this year's bill was hugely bolstered by out of town acts (some
of which were big names on the prog fest circuit). They heard about
what a good local scene was had here and I think many were quite
dismayed to arrive and see 90% of the people that make of this scene
were no shows! I would have been too if I drove 1000 miles to arrive
at a venue with maybe 40 people in it! Wouldn't you be? If not, you
have no pulse! I realize we do our best to try and showcase our local
bands and maybe many of you are tired of that at this point- maybe we
reached a point of local oversaturation, but if there was one time
this year we could have used your support it was Rogue. Not really
for us though so much as the folks that came 100s of miles to play for
our local "scene".
