From my friend (and local guitar-craft guru) Rob Rushin:
<x-tad-smaller>Hi folks –</x-tad-smaller>
<x-tad-smaller> </x-tad-smaller>
<x-tad-smaller>Just a quick note to let everyone know that I am opening the Adrian Belew show at the Variety Playhouse this Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. Adrian is a long-time favorite of mine, so it is a real honor to be invited to support his performance. Also, this is my first appearance at the Variety Playhouse, which is truly one of Atlanta’s very best rooms for listening to music.</x-tad-smaller>

<x-tad-smaller>I’ll perform about 30-40 minutes of solo material on acoustic guitar plugged into some fun little toys, this is music that means a lot to me and I hope you’ll be able to make it out for the show.</x-tad-smaller>

<x-tad-smaller>For anyone not familiar, Adrian Belew is one of the great innovative guitarists of the past 30 years. Since he began his career with Frank Zappa, Adrian has played with the likes of David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Tori Amos, Paul Simon and Nine Inch Nails; contributed to Talking Heads’ groundbreaking </x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller>Remain in Light </x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller>album; and has been a 25-year member of King Crimson, one of my all-time favorite bands. He has numerous solo albums and projects; this latest is a smoking trio that showcases his command of the guitar and his uncanny ability to improvise the most unexpected sounds.</x-tad-smaller>

<x-tad-smaller>Hey, a great venue and a guitar loving crowd, opening for one of my all-time faves -- this makes Rob a happy boy!</x-tad-smaller>

<x-tad-smaller>Hope to see you there....</x-tad-smaller>

<x-tad-smaller>very best,</x-tad-smaller>
