Hard to say- most of my CD purchases are usually old stuff that I never
got around to hearing.
I'm liking Medeski, Martin & Wood's End of the World Party - that's
really about the only CURRENT Cd I can recall buying. Old things I've
discovered that have really floated my boat this year have been
Crimson's Islands and Lizards (can't believe I had never heard those
before - it's just an era of KC I'd never explored). Also tracked down
a reissue of Scarlett Rivera's debut CD which has been an amazing
rediscovery.
Let's spice up the dialog a bit more - top concerts of 04?
The best of 04 for me, by far, was the 21st Century Schizoid Band!
Pretty impressed with the recent Umphrey's McGee show too. Good, but
not perfect, for me include the Yes show and the Nektar/Caravan show.
