RED DOOR PLAYHOUSE seeking LEAD/ ELECTRIC GUITARIST

We are currently seeking a talented qualified Lead/ Electric Guitar player to join our house band called “The Missing Piece”. We host a sold out Family Concert Series each summer called Red Door ROCKS! where we play progressive rock music for Kids and Families in the North Fulton area. We have been featured in the Kids Section of the AJC last summer and had a full write up in Points North magazine this month.  Feel free to visit our website www.reddoorplayhouse.com for reviews and more info.

Our mission is to expose kids and families to cool quality rock music at an early age. We play everything from Funk, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Country, Rock, Swing, Reggae and more, all with themes that kids and parents can relate to. If you happen to be a musician with kids, this might be a great outlet for the whole family. We also play many cover tunes throughout the season by such artists as The Beatles, Beach Boys, John Mellencamp, Paul Simon, TV Theme songs, 50’s tunes, and others.

Last year we released our debut CD entitled “Through the Red Door” to fantastic sales and reviews. We are currently working on our second follow up album due to be released in August 2005.

We play two shows per month beginning May 21, 2005, on Saturday nights,  7-8PM.  We pay $80 per show with pre-show dinner included. We require a full commitment from all musicians involved and require each musician to schedule an audition / interview with existing band members before hiring.

Family Concert Series is the only place in Atlanta where kids run free and parents can kick back and enjoy the unique sounds of our family-oriented band “The Missing Piece”.  We encourage the kids to hop on the dance floor and sing along to all of our original tunes, along with selected favorites that they know and love. The show is a truly interactive musical thrill ride, where enthusiastic kids are invited on stage as highlighted dancers, singers, and instrumentalists. One might find him/herself involved in an opening skit, or a quick piece of theatre.  One might converse with a puppet character, or find themselves wandering in slow motion through outer space. You‘ll never know until you get there, as every show has a different Theme.”
