Uncle Eggsy wrote: Fates Warning is kind of a wild card in that I've only heard two of their albums one of which, Parallells, I didn't particularly like, the other of which, A Pleasant Shade Of Grey, I did like. =================================================================== I don't know what they're going to be like in concert nowadays, but if you haven't at least heard the old Fates Warning stuff, you really owe it to yourself. The first three -- Night on Brocken, The Spectre Within, and Awaken the Guardian -- have that Iron Maiden quality to them. On the next two -- No Exit and Perfect Symmetry -- they turned more accessible, a little more like Rush in some ways. The entire second side of No Exit is one long song in movements, a la 2112 or The Fountain of Lamneth. I bought a few of their more recent albums, but haven't really listened to them much. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
