[atlantaprog] Re: CD sales

I believe that if you have a site setup for sales of your music it would
be much easier for those looking for music. Let's say on the ARIA
website a single page of sales information could be setup. It would not
take the place of your website if you have one, but to have a place to
direct sales in one location other than your website or for those who
don't offer CD sales on their site a new place for you. For those
without a site it could be a single page the help promote your music as
well.

I also believe that if you were to also offer a download price as well.
Some may not want to wait for shipment or pay for shipping, by offering
a download of the same CD in MP3 format. It will also allow for singles
to be released as well. This way if you are working on material and have
a single finished you can offer it as a download. Making your music
available for downloading can save money too.

You could take it even further and offer a membership to ARIA fan club
and offer music download at a reduced rate or something, maybe a
newsletter. Membership to any fan club is a small $20- 25 fee per year
and given the fact that any ARIA fan member would have several bands as
a member.

They are just some ideas.
Hope it helps.

I think that if we are going to go through the trouble
of making our work available through the net, we
should make the new ARIA website a starting point for
all things promotional...they don't call it the "web"
for nothing....! ;-)

Cheers,
