Allen made some really good points about the graphic design and layout
issues! I'd just like to add a comment in response to one point that he
made:

I agree completely that Quark is the only program that should be used, but
unfortunately, some manufactures require files to be provided in other
formats and don't give Quark as an option. We're actually running into this
with the compilation CDs. The manufacturer usually requires files in Quark,
but since it's a cardboard sleeve, they need the file in Illustrator! So do
check to make sure what the manufacturer needs before deciding on a graphic
designer!
