CD Booklet / Layout
I've always done my own work here, so I can't really recomend a graphic
designer, but I would recomend that you use Imagers (www.imagers.com) for
professional quality scanning of 35mm negatives. I have a pretty nice
scanner, but it's really worth paying $20 or so to have the negatives
professionally scanned for the best possible picture quality.
Also, decide who you are going to use for manufacturing before you have
someone setup the booklet. Each company has different specs for the CD
booklets and will need them in a specific program. They have always
provided me with templates to work with. So far, they have always been in
Macintosh format. Usually they need the file in QuarkExpress for Mac. I
suspect other arrangements can be made if you don't have the specific
program that they need, but I'm not sure because I have always used
QuarkExpress myself. If you're calling graphic designers, find out what
programs they use and if they work on a PC, a Mac or both.
