Not long to respond here. But, I 've been to a show at Earthshaking and
can give you input. It could probalbly work, but I'll have to discuss
later...
Best wishes,

Hi,
Things have been quite here lately. Must be holiday overload...
It looks like ARIA (Art Rock in Atlanta) is the name. We'll formalize
it in January. Since no one seems to be jumping forward to build an
ARIA website, I'll do it. I CAN'T manage a message-board, but I will
maintain a news section where I will post gig announcements and such.
So everyone start sending me me resources for the ARIA site and we'll
see.
Re. radio... I talked with the WRFG people and it's POSSIBLE they
would host a show for us... we would have to write up and submit a
proposal to them. That's about as far as I can take it unless someone
comes forward to spearhead it. So if anyone is interested in trying
to pull a program together, email me off-list and we can collaborate
on the proposal. It's in your court!
Eyedrum has proven less than receptive to the prog night concept, but
they would be up for select individual shows - on a case-by-case
basis. I'm already working on a Z-Axis show there, and if we get
booked, we'll probably arrange to share the bill with some one.
Earthshaking is still a possibility. Harold & I will probably head
out there soon to talk to the guy. Some of you have expressed concern
over the viability of Earthshaking for the more hard-rock acts...
we'll check that out with him too. How many of you have seen the room
at Earthshaking?
Has anyone made any progress on getting an "in" at one of the clubs?
Probably best to move on this stuff AFTER the first of the year!
REMINDER - the January meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Manuel's Tavern
at 7 PM... mark it on your books. We shifted it from Mon. to Tues. to
allow folks who can't make it on Monday a chance to participate
(Bill, be sure and pass this on to Matthew!) Of course, there are
folks who can't make it Tuesday either... we're working on it!
