[atlantaprog] Bird Returning To The Stage - Burgess Penguin (quack quack quack quack)

Hello Everyone,

Change is afoot at this particular bird's nest.

One, I have decided to retire the moniker of The Owl Watches and put out one
last OW disc  sometime later this year (maybe by X-mas)

Two, I feel my musical direction changing a bit, These days I'm leaning very
strongly towards improvisational music drawing on sources as far flung as jazz,
old TV film and cartoon music, surf and God only knows what else, and of
course, incidental music from the old 60's Batman series  I think I've moved on
a considerable distance from channeling the "lost 70's King Crimson album"

To this end, I have pulled together an actual live band called Burgess Penguin,
a 3 piece consisting of:

Me: fretless bass, gratuitous quackery

Jeff McGharen: Keys, guitar and trumpet

Jeremy DeRamus: Drums, percussion and anything else in striking distance

The music is completely improvised and actually has a sense of humor (imagine
that!)

We make our stage debut at Earthshaking Music's brand new open-mic night
series.
