Hi all,
I agree with Wade completely on this CJ's thing. When I forwarded Matthew's
original post to the rest of MOF the unanimous response was "that's a pretty
smart way to try and guarantee the Club keeps this going", along with "Sure,
at least one band member a month's no big deal".
That said, the promotion is the critical other aspect to make this work. It
will stagnate into nothingness if the sole crowd each month is only a single
member of each band that's on the rotating roster of performers. Good to
see the ARIA website updated, but it really does come down to each band
doing whatever they can to promote the entire series as an ongoing monthly
event, regardless of whether that band is performing or not.
This is quite literally "exactly" what we all talked about wanting to try
and achieve at the inception of ARIA. Well, here it is... time for us to
all step up to the plate.
