yeah, i question the value of atlantis too, but then again, if the
desired destination is commercial sales/success, any potential
avenue there will have its merits. i think that too many bands
get selected, and think that all they have to do is show up and
there'll be a bevy of ravenous a&r folks just ready for intimate
oral-genital contact, and i think it's obvious that that's not the case.
if anything, a gig at atlantis would require, i would think, and even
more voracious attack on local and regional p.r. outlets in an
attempt to drum up as much as possible to create some kind
of stir for the actual event.
