Hello, all...
I was all set to go to PPUSA3 this year (last year's
event was awesome, BTW), but I ended up having to
cancel due to a death in the family.
You may or may not have heard by now, but my dad died
of a massive heart attack November 9th while my
parents were up here in Atlanta visiting us.
We got back from the funeral Sunday that was held in
Florida. We are doing OK...about as good as can be
expected.
Regarding PPUSA3...I am a participant on the Perpetual
Motion discussion board (dedicated to Prog and
Prog/Power Metal bands...the ideal Prog Power
demographic if there ever was one), and the feedback I
have read so far is that the festival was a total
success! My friend Glenn Harveston (the promoter)
actually made money this year, and is able to put on
PPUSA4 next year...once he recovers from this one,
that is...he began planning PPUSA3 many months in
advance.
Website is www.progpower.com
For those here who have already contacted me regarding
my dad...thanks for your support.
Regards,
Bill

I was a festival co-sponsor, but since the rest of
this list didn't
seem
to care about the metal, I figured it was pointless to
post anything.
My write-up and pics are at www.paulcashman.com (3

Any news on how Prog Power went? Did anyone from the
list go? I am
guessing no since the fest was just a couple of days
ago and no one
posted.
FYI:
The new issue of Guitar Player Mag has a Steve Howe
article in it, and
they review the latest Porcupine Tree CD. The latest
issue of Guitar
One also has some stuff somewhere in there about
Porcupine Tree as
well.
Rick Wakemen is currently on the cover of Keyboard
magazine too...
Anyone going to the 2nd Annual Jimi Hendrix Birthday
Tribute concert
this Friday night?
