In last volume, I've seen lot of thoughts about how Atlanta is narrow-minded
about music. Can't disagree with that! + it is the city of Jerk And
Disrespectful Business too!
For example: the owner of Esposito's in Duluth - Johnny first required my
promopackage (demo CD included) o later said: "I prefer to work with people, I
know" and all this under the sauce, that he has no time, he has work to do.
that's how "important' he is! And who am I to dare even bothern him? but of
course, not even a single word about to return my promopackage.
Another ezample: Dave, the owner of "Diamond Dave's Steakhouse" in Kennesaw
openly said, that he pays pianoplayers $10 - $12 per hour. Does it sound
gorgeous?
Another person, musician himself, the owner of Blue Sky Atlanta booking agency
Jim Tierman thinks that he can ignore even written contracts and pay $50 less,
than was in contract, because I've got lost and arrived at work late. But i've
played exactly the amount of time longer for what i was late. Does it mean that
ther are two punishments for one violation ???
So everyone decide for yourself: does it pay to do business in Atlanta or it is
better "to shake off the dust from your feet and go play elswhere" ?
Live Long And Prosper.
