OK y'all,
I've been emailing back and forth with Curtis Clark a lot this
week, and he's ready to take us on down at 9 Lives. The first day that
we'll have there will be Thursday, 3/18, and while it's not a weekend
night just yet, he's going to give it to us without having to pay him
anything up front. The one thing he's asking is that we start at 8:30
instead of 8:00, so if we're willing to stay out an additional half
hour, we should be all set.
So there we go! I think our recent discussions on line still apply
in terms of our involvement at the bar, but in general this new
situation should be a lot less troublesome. Let us hope! One thing I'd
like to ask of everyone is that we all try as hard as we can to still
pack the CJ's show next week. I'm not going to tell them that we're
moving until a few days after the show just to avoid any possible
repercussions, so let's all try to be there, be pleasant, be happy,
and try to make it as great a night as we can!
As far as the line up next month goes, Allen, I didn't realize
that Z-axis would only be out for the month of February, so if we put
you guys back in the line up, the next couple of months will look like
this:
3/18- Z-Axis & Noise.com
April- Man On Fire and Sundog
Now here's a couple of things: Karma Lingo just booked a gig at
the 10 High on 4/14 (we're <almost> confirmed), so the next ARIA date
at 9 Lives will probably want to be the following week, potentially
4/22 if Curtis can get us the night. That's the same week that Man On
Fire is going to be up in PA doing the Rites of Spring festival, so I'm
guessing that they're not going to be available (chime in MOF!), and KL
(next on the list) is probably not going to want to play that soon after
the 10 High show. <Also,> KL is not going to be available to do the
ARIA gig in May because we'll all be at the Shakespeare Tavern that
month doing A Funny Thing Happened On the way to the Forum. So....
I'm not sure if Paine's Promise or Solution Science Systems are
going to be ready to come back by May, so barring that, would either
Z-Axis or Noise.com be willing to let Karma Lingo have one of the March
slots, y'all take the April slot instead of Man On Fire, and Man On
Fire play in May with Lord Only? Here's how the spring would look then:
3/18- Z-Axis or Noise.com/Karma Lingo
April- Z-Axis or Noise.com/Sundog
May- Man On Fire/Lord Only
How does that sound to everybody? Please let me know ASAP is
y'all'd be willing to make those swaps (especially Z-Axis and
Noise.com), and I'll get started working it all out with Curtis.
Thanks, and see you tomorrow night!
Matthew
