I've only seen some of it (without sound) playing in the background
in dance clubs (and I saw a bit of it once with sound), and I have to
agree with whoever said that it's not THAT disturbing in light of
what's come along since then.
As for *The Manchurian Candidate*: It's a movie about a brainwashed
assassin "programmed" to kill a major Presidential candidate,
released in 1962.
Frank Sinatra, who was (I think) one of the project's primary backers
and is a star of the movie, got the film withdrawn from circulation
soon after John F. Kennedy's assassination, and kept it that way for
about a quarter of a century.
And, oh, yeah: You'll never see Angela Lansbury the same way again.
