Pharmaceutical Science Policy intern
The Physicians Committee’s Research and Regulatory Affairs team finds and
implements science and policy-based solutions to modernize regulatory testing
while reducing and replacing the use of animals in tests conducted by
pesticide, chemical, drug, and cosmetic companies.
The Pharmaceutical Science Policy Intern will work with our Senior Science
Policy Specialist on researching and preparing educational materials (web and
print) and researching and assisting with the preparation of reports for the
public, federal agencies, or for peer-reviewed publication, as well as other
science and policy-based projects.
Interns may also have the opportunity to participate in staff education
sessions, journal article discussions, internal and external scientific and/or
policy meetings, and other Physicians Committee events. All interns will
receive a full-day orientation at the start of their internship and ongoing
support from their staff mentor.
Students or recent graduates with a background in public health, law, or the
life sciences who would like to make a real world impact on human health and
animal welfare while developing communication, research, policy, and analytical
skills should consider applying for this unique opportunity to join a dynamic
public health advocacy and research organization.
