Apart from shadows, I find that most graphical objects transfer well
from my Mac (with virtual windows) to ArtWorks.

But text is indeed split into individual characters and has odd spaces
inserted all over.  It takes a very long time to merge all the fragments
together into sentences and paragraphs.  However if the vector image can
be transferred from ArtWorks into Draw format, then Rosemary Miskins'
TidyDraw makes a good job of putting the majority of the letters back
into words; but there is still some manual editing needed.
