When I raised this here in December 2015, Richard, you reported
having the same problem then. Since I've seen no evidence that
Martin has a reply or an upgrade to fix it, I'm not surprised
it's still an issue.
It just shows what an excellent memory you have Bernard and why
mine is so crap :-((
I use 'fitting-text-to-curve' infrequently but I still would like
it to be fixed.

Doesn't crash anything here, using version 2.X2.00 (07-May-12).
That's the version I use but it makes a difference what machine and OS
are used. It appears that Nick Roberts has no issue on a Titanium with
RISC OS 5.23 but using the same OS on a Raspberry Pi it becomes a
problem. Please tell us what RISC OS version and machine you are using.
I paid for an update to a later version at Wakefield a couple of
years ago, whcih has not yet been forthcoming...
My feeling is that Martin cannot spend the time on producing upgrades
in the way he did earlier - i.e. before the arrival of a family - he
must concentrate on putting effort into programming projects that
earns money for his offspring. It changes your perspective on life.
Sadly RISC OS programming upgrades will never earn him a decent living
wage.
