Thanks for the advice, Alan. I thought I might support a RISC OS
dealer this time and have ordered a Newlink 4-port powered hub
(non-switching) from a RISC OS dealer. I won't mention the dealer, so
as not to advertise one RISC OS dealer over another. ;-)

I have gone off the switching idea as it only makes sense if you are
going to include a monitor socket on the USB hub with switcher or have
lots of spare monitors knocking around. I don't like the former as I
would want to be looking at both screens simultaneously and I don't
have room on my desk for any more monitors even if I had one to spare.

Do bring your hub along on Monday as I, and others, will be bringing a
Raspberry-Pi, and my hub may not arrive by Monday although I may bring
a 7-port hub.

Cheers,
David Lane
