There was a discussion of this topic on the mailing list in October, but
no conclusions resulted.
I still have the problem I have had since getting the ARMx6.

If this is related the problem that I have, and it seems it is, it is
not restricted to LanMan98 and seems a problem with all large file
transfers to/from ARMX6.
I have problems transferring large files between the ARMX6 and my PC
Laptop using Acorn Access.

I have a network which contains among other things an ARMX6, Iyonix,
RISC PC, several r-Pi's model 1B and a laptop running VRPC. Using
Access to copy multiple small files between these works quickly,
except when copying to the VRPC, when it seems to be between 5 and 10
times slower. This copy is done pushing rather than pulling, and I
don't recall whether it is also slow when pushing from the VRPC.
