My reason for using it is that having the same time throughout
the network is an important thing, and doing it via NetTime is
much easier and done automatically than via any manual process.
I only ask because I've seen apps that break when using net time (KinoAmp
comes time mind) as opposed to system clock. I suspect it is anything
that uses TimerMod.
Never seen any problems. If software is broken, we should try to
fix it. If software cannot cope with NetTime, it cannot cope with
the user setting the time manually. Which is unacceptable.
Can you supply some more details on the problem?
Well, my test is to try running "BigBuckBunny" video in KinoAmp (as in
Video folder in ARMX6 image). If NetTime is enabled as the time method,
it'll crash and fail to play the video.
Or at least, did last time I checked. The backtrace points to a timer
issue.
