Chris,
So we don't get into trouble here is how you
might be able to transfer
files to your android device from your ARMini.
However, son (who's not RO savvy) says that if
the
tablet was a phone he'd just send the files
down
the wire and Android would find a home for it
all!
Tempting.
I am assuming that your device came with a USB
cable?
If so just plug it into your ARMini and it will
show up as another
drive.
Some devices however have more than one "drive"
in them (my media
player is like that) - if so you will need to
temporarily disconnect
the card reader that is built into the ARMini
case if you have one.
If that still doesn't work get son to adjust
what sort of device the
tablet says it is when plugged in over USB (it
is in the settings part
of android)
I hope this helps and the only reason I have
put this up here is for
other ARMini users who want to transfer data
between their ARMinis and
external USB devices like phones, tablets,
cameras and media devices.
Just to add to this, if you got it from R-Comp
(the tablet), then you
should have got a microUSB cable I believe, plus
a booklet produced by
R-comp telling you how to transfer files between
RISC OS and the
Tablet.
The trick I believe is make the Tablet display
itself as a Mass
Storage deveice to the ARMini.
Got cable.
Can open and transfer files between Armini and
tablet.
Problem is: I cant 'see' the micros card as a
separate filing entity when looking at the Armini
screen., so I cant d&d specific files - down the
usb cable - into the microsd card which is in the
tablet.
