I guess I have overlooked an option in Argyll where I can create a

Or in other words: which whitepoint does viewgam assume when
generating gam-files for CIELAB?
I meant when using the trio iccgamut/tiffgamut/viewgam to create/view
the gamuts and intersections.
Viewgam is neutral with respect to the white point. The gamut generated
by iccgamut/tiffgamut depends on the intent. If you use relative, the white
will be normalized to D50. If you use absolute colorimetric, then it
will be the native device white.
