The blinking cursor of the terminal stays right after the last Y of NOCTTY, still blinking, until I cancel it with Ctrl-C. I think it has to do with ubuntu amd-64. I have another computer with ubuntu 10.10 32 bit and there dispcal does not hang. Thank you for your help.
