[argyllcms] Re: ti1-format: creating RGB ti1-target manually?

Hi :)

I'd like to create a ti1-Target for monitor characterisation "by

What I tend to do if I need to specify patch values by hand is to use targen to create a .ti1 file with the right number of patches, then open it using OpenOffice Calc's CSV import filter, using "Space" as a separator, and no text delimiter.

Then I adjust the values as I please and save again.

Is it possible to specify 8-Bit (0..255) instead of 0..100 values?

Not as far as I know.

What are the minimal fields I need to define for the ti1? I also don't
understand the need/meaning of the XYZ values in the ti1-file which
will define the _device_ values to read?

As I understand it, these are just a hint that the measuring program can use or not to detect wildly wrong values - I think that's how printread does its "Seem to have read strip D not strip C" trick. I don't think it's used by dispread though.

Hope this helps
