Do you see the effects both printing with and without colormanagement ?
In this case, it is definitly a problem of the driver, and it is 
hopeless to try to get better results with profiles.

But when the stripes only occurs WITH colormanagement, ist is a problem 
of the profiles.

sometimes smoothing profiles lead to worse colorimtry but better grey axis.

If you just convert the numbers of an RGB gray gradient and plot the 
results as curves, you see the irregularities of this combination of 
profiles.

Calculating an RGB2RGB devicelink and smoothing this, may helps.
