[argyllcms] dtp22 not working with Argyll

I have a dtp22, a variation of the instrument called "ColorMark". When I try to
run either chartread or spotread it immediately quits with an error message.
However, the dtp22 works fine with x-rite's free ColorPort utility, so I know
the instrument itself works. Can anyone provide some guidance on this problem?
