Hello Paul,
whenever you install a profile through the GUI, a .desktop file is created in $HOME/.config/autostart which will load the calibration from the profile (via dispwin) at login.
(as a side note, I just noticed a quirk in the profile installation dialog on Linux - "user" and "system" installs are handled the same i.e. it's always a "user" install. I should maybe remove/disable that control until the next release of Argyll.)

Or do I need to do this myself (.bash_profile etc)?  OpenSuse 11.
