Okay, so it's failing really early, maybe even before the embedded python
interpreter starts to run. Not much I can do in that case, I fear. It might
be easiest to just use the source after satisfying the Python and wxPython
dependency (a side note, you can use the install script to compile and
install from source, but it should be done using sudo, otherwise it will try
to use ~/.local as prefix which Python will likely complain about).

I'll try it later.

Maybe you even want to wait a few days or so when I'll have a cleaned-up (in terms of directory layout) version of the source ready. Currently there's a bit too many files directly in the root for my liking, so I intend to fix that by moving things around. The current source should work as well though.

I uploaded a new
installer, which contains an exe that is not compressed as much:

http://dispcalgui.hoech.net/snapshot/20090424/dispcalGUI-0.2.5b-Setup.exe

Much better. Now it's down to about 4 seconds.

Nice, glad it helped.

I also tried the Mac version. Everything worked, but I had to
calibrate the eye-one pro between calibration and profiling.

Yes, the functionality is actually there, but Graeme said something about issues with the -N option with the current Argyll version, so I disabled it for now (or more precisely, I added a check for versions below 1.1.0 which I might need to change later when the next Argyll release is ready. Current Beta also seems to be affected, atleast when I tried a i1 Pro it didn't work and I had to calibrate).

Florian Höch
