Ah yes, I could find the file after updating from colord 1.3.3 to 1.3.4.
Once I removed this, dispwin now works perfectly! Thank you again.

I *am* using KDE Plasma. My email from this thread from 8 Mar 17

the most thorough testing. I tested xiccd and colord-kde and a few
permutations.
