[argyllcms] White point or black point adjustment not working

I am trying to adjust my display (Eizo L568 LCD), using Argyll 1.0.3 on
a GretagMacbeth Pantone Huey (running on Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04).
When I try to set the white point or the black point (options 2 and 4 of
the menu shown by dispcal -ly -v), the following happens:
- measurements are done
- I am asked to adjust the R, G and B offsets
- without adjusting the monitor the instructions change every one or two
seconds
A line showing R+ G+ B-- changes into something like R-- G- B+
And this keeps going on, even if I do change the monitor settings,
making the calibration device more or less useless.
Can anyone explain what is happening, and better how it can be stopped?
Below is some output of dispcal.
Thanks,
George
