[argyllcms] Was Eye-One Pro linux usb problem solved?

First, many thanks for an invaluable software suite.
Is it known whether releases of the Linux kernel at or after 2.6.26
did indeed overcome the need to unplug and replug the Eye One Pro
revision D when it is used with Linux?
If not, is it nevertheless practical to use the Eye One Pro rev D on a
Linux machine?
