My computer said *PUF*, and there was a cloud of smoke under my desk.
So I moved my XP installation to another motherboard/CPU.

After that, some compilations involving i1disp.c stopped working. The
version number "ver" no more gets the value 5.008 but 5.0000. Weird,
but I have now changed my code to:

if (ver >= 5.00 && ver < 5.1) {
        vv = 'L';
        chroma4 = TRUE;
}

and it works again.
