is it possible to generate a display profile in Windows XP and use it with
argyll tooll dispwin for display calibration in linux with X.org server? Both
Win XP and X.org use proprietary nVidia drivers.
I would imagine it can work if the same display monitor is used,
and nothing mysterious interferes with things (like hidden
DDC/CI setting changes, System VideoLUT changes etc.)
The assumption is that the hardware and software are basically
transparent in regard to how the VideoLUT values are interpreted,
and that the D/A converters are linear.
