[argyllcms] The -N option doesn't work for my Eye One Pro? Can anyone help me figure out why?

dispcal -N, according to the documentation is suppposed to allow one to
skip the calibration step. But it seems to have no effect with my Eye
One Pro.
Perhaps I am missing something, so please let me know if there is some
special order in which I have to do it. In my case
dispcal -r followed by dispcal -N -r produce exactly the same set of
instructions, requiring me to calibrate each time. This can get time
consuming.
If I am doing it right, can anyone suggest a method to firgure out why
it isn't working? Is there any information I can provide that would
help.
The -v option gives the following data about my unit.
$ dispcal -v3 -r
Setting up the instrument
Instrument Type: Eye-One Pro
Serial Number: 308837
Firmware version: 503
CPLD version: 999
Date manufactured: 23-3-2007
U.V. filter ?: No
Measure Ambient ?: Yes
Tot. Measurement Count: 968
Remission Spot Count: 33
Remission Scan Count: 0
Date of last Remission spot cal: Mon Jan 7 10:05:49 2008
Remission Spot Count at last cal: 11
Total lamp usage: 8.071211
Place cap on the instrument, or place in on a dark surface,
or place on the white calibration reference,
and then hit any key to continue,
or hit Esc, ^C or Q to abort:
I called Xrite about the possibility of having them check it, but they
told me that if I ran their diagnostic (under their Windows program) and
it said the unit was okay, it didn't need adjustment. It passed.
