[argyllcms] Re: Target Black problems with ColorMunki & NEC 3090

There are software manufacturers that support the PA series natively. Some
offers options, others very little. But they can all ?talk? directly with
the PA monitor.

BTW, I believe the NEC Spectra Profiler software *does* allow you to pick
your choice of 2.2 gamma curve.

@ NEC PAxxxx owners:

Does the Spectraview II software (and/or the hardware itself?) have the old
limitation that you don't have any control over the TRC (it's always a
"real" sRGB curve - with black compensation) when you do gamut emulation
with the internal 3D LUTs?

Is there a "custom primaries with custom TRC" calibration mode, like in the
ColorNavigator software?

I think I would pick up a PA241w if I could freely calibrate it with it's
internal 14-bit 3D LUTs. My targets would be sRGB primaries with pure-power
gamma 2.2 and 2.35 curves, but not with sRGB curve (and not native gamut).

(Of course, a hardware calibrated native gamut with 10-bit input would be
fine too. But there is no 10-bit compatible video renderer, yet...)
