hi,

  I borrowed a friends Spyder2 to use on my Ubuntu box

I was getting the error
dispcal: Error - dispread failed with 'Instrument Access Failed'

and if I ran 'dispcal -d 1,1 -c 1 -y l -m -v -D' several of these
errors would pop up before it failed
spyd2: Get Reading retry with ICOM err 0x2000

the permissions were correct but it still didn't work.  I tried
replugging the device, still no goood.

moving the device from the USB hub built into the monitor (a Dell
2405FPW) to a USB port on the machine fixed the problem.
