Test strips typically contain a small set of wedges for each colorant (ie.
0%, 25%, 50%, 100%), + some composite black (ie. CMY and CMYK) test wedges
to judge grey balance.

You might be able to use targen for much of this, and/or add values
to the .ti1 in by hand. You can use icclu to get the rough XYZ values in the 
file.
