Note that simply using the Saturation Intent (with the default
Enhanced Saturation - haven't tried non-enhancing) improves this situation
for me. I don't know how generally useful saturation intent will be for
photos yet, but my understanding from a recent post from Graeme is
that Argyll's saturation intents should at least produce
reasonably good results for photos.
