[argyllcms] Profile mismatch behaviour

Hi,

I have a generic question regarding color profiles and icc:

I made a display profile using Argyll which (with iccdump) gives me this:

Display profile
  Color Space  = RGB
  Conn. Space  = XYZ

However, I have other profiles which report the following with iccdump:

Camera profile
  Color Space  = RGB
  Conn. Space  = Lab

I'm curious as how does most color management software respond to
such a mismatch? Is an automatic XYZ-Lab conversion done? Or will it
render invalid/incorrect results?

Is it possible to convert the RGB-Lab profile to a RGB-XYZ profile?

And last but not least, does Argyll have a tool to edit profile metadata, I
have several profiles with identical description, which is rather confusion.
