[argyllcms] Printread with DTP41 on WinXP SP2

Printread keeps failing to establish communications with my DTP41uv, for
some reason. I launch it with:
  
  printread -v -i41 -n -c1 filename

Then I get:

  Steps in each Pass = 16
  Passes in each Strip = 4

Followed, after a few seconds, with :

  Establishing communications with instrument failed with message
   'Communications failure (no error)'

Still, X-Rite Toolcrib v5 has no problem finding my DTP41 and interface to
it normally.

Any ideas are appreciated. I must be doing something wrong?
