Hello Graeme, although I answered Ben off-list, as this is some kind of "advertisement" which I havn't seen on this list before, I have to answer now. basICColor demon is an OS (Mac, Win) compatible color management module that can be used in all applications that allow the selection of the CMM. It exchanges a defined 2-profile conversion by a devicelink conversion. So, devicelink conversions are possible today in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat (which means you can build you poor mans color server). And it definitively does not cost serious $$$. I'd like to do some stuff with InDesign or Illustrator instead of Photoshop, but I'm spoiled by Argyll's quality....It's quite complicated to do this type of thing. You basically need a PostScript/PDF RIP to process the file, to get to the color bits to transform them. It might be possible to do a PDF only with less effort, but it still involved. There are commercial products that can do this type of thing (although I'm not sure about device links), and they cost serious $$$. Graeme Gill.
