Let's see an explanatory screenshot:

Oh, and your plot doesn't seem to be of sRGB, - the real
sRGB, as defined by it's originators (HP and Microsoft), has a zero black.

There are various profiles that claim to be sRGB floating
about with non-zero black that cause great confusion.

Note that where the source and destination profiles have different
black levels, some form of gamut mapping is required if losses in
black tones are to be avoided. This could take the form of a simple
run time luminance mapping (such as Adobe BPC), or a more sophisticated
mapping such as Argyll's perceptual intent mapping.
