[argyllcms] Ideal number of patches for profiling monitors

I'm at the stage of deciding on how many patches to include in profiling my
monitor. In the past, when profiling printers, I remember I could specify as
low as 64 patches in targen. But, now, in V0.60, it seems this information
got lumped with the concept of "full spread", under the parameter -f?

I can see the default is 836, which seems a little bit extreme for monitor
profiling. But I am not confortable putting only 64 or 100 patches for
monitor profiling since I am not sure what "full spread" in the context of
number of patches exactly refers to.

Specifying -f64 results in 64 patches added in th ti1 file. That much is
clear. I just want to start with a low patch count just to experiment with
the software. Later, when I build confidence, I can increase the patch
count.
