I am in the process of trying to produce a printer profile for my Epson 3880 printer. I created three letter size charts with targen and printtarg. I am using an eye-one-pro to read the charts. I have a frame to hold the paper and the eye-one-pro, so that I can read each strip sliding the device from one side to the other. But when I start I keep getting error messages like Ready to read strip pass A Press 'f' to move forward, 'b' to move back, 'n' for next unread, 'd' when done, Esc or 'q' to quit without saving. Trigger instrument switch or any other key to start: Strip read failed due to misread (Not enough patches) Hit Esc to give up, any other key to retry: A few years a go, I did manage to use this setup to profile my old Epson 1280, but I don't remember how I did it. Any suggestions would be helpful. I added the -B option to chartread and tried to read from left to right. -- Leonard Evens len@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Professor Emeritus, Department of Mathematics, Northwestern University
