The intended way to do "poor man's color measurements" with a scanner is
"scanin -c ..." (using the previously built scanner profile). If this
does not give sufficiently accurate readings, the way to go is basically
to use a real colorimeter or spectrometer.
Could you please elaborate what's a "strait profile without any influence"?
