Hello Graeme, Would it be possible, in a future release, to include an option for "manual" measurement collection? I now have a PR-704 spectroradiometer I can use to collect screen colorimetry but it is too old for having any kind of API I could call from a controlling application. I can use it to make any kind of measurements off the display or emissive sources, but, in order to use it with dispcal, I would have to have some kind of text input capabilities. I know this would take forever and ever to manually enter XYZ values for every measurements. But this is an option I would like to explore.
Hi Roger, 1) This doesn't seem that practical to me, since at a minimum there would be a hundred measurements. 2) Doesn't the PR-704 have an RS232 port ? (their patent application sure shows one, and there seems to be software around that claims to support the PR-704) 3) If you wanted to you could use the existing -M option to do this. Simply create a script/application that is called by the -M option, and have script prompt you with the RGB values, and lets you enter the XYZ values where it can create the command.meas file before returning.
